A recent successful negotiation has seen McLaren being awarded another scheme in the Hotel and Leisure sector in the form of a new Ramada Hotel in Chatham.

The 90 bed hotel constructed over 6 floors is built upon remediated ground necessitating the use of piled foundations on a very confined site.  The structure itself is based upon a steel frame to the 1st floor, with the remaining floors being of pre-cast construction for both floors and walls.

The utilisation of pre-coloured render and timber clad facades compliment the external elevations; the render being an insulated system and the cladding being a natural oak rainscreen.

Internally the en-suite facilities are of pod construction with other finishes being of a traditional nature.  Public areas include reception, bars and restaurant in association with meeting rooms.

The whole project is being completed within a 44 week programme which also includes extensive external works, car parks and hard landscaping features.
