Travelodge Ealing - Uxbridge Rd - West
Design and construction of the Travelodge Hotel in Ealing. This hotel will be 99 rooms over 6 floors with a bar cafe on the ground floor and associated external works including car parking.
The site is located on the eastern end of the Uxbridge Road in an area predominantly occupied by commercial offices. Demolition of the existing Villa has taken place, leaving the site level.
The substructure is to be piled with connecting beams to pile caps. A steel frame structure will then be erected and slabs cast onto metal profile decking. Pre-cast stairs will be fabricated off site and installed as the steel frame is erected, thus access to floors is immediately available for the early progression of works.
Bathroom pods will be fabricated off site and supplied to site, and lifted in to position for connections and internal walls to be built thereafter.
The building is stepped at the rear, thus giving green roof areas looking toward adjacent properties. Renewable energy sources are being considered to supplement the hotel's small power and lighting requirements with the associated waste utilised to produce primary hot water to indirectly produce secondary domestic hot water.
The project commences on site in May, with
completion 40 weeks later.
