Hackney Free & Parochial CofE School

This redevelopment of the existing school is split into 3 phases and will take place adjacent to and around the existing live school at all times.

Phase 1

This will take a year as the east block is built on the sports/playground facilities at the back of the site. This will not affect classroom teaching and there a the flexible plan to allow students to take part in sport activities in alternative venues. As a Sports College and an Extended School it is very important that the school continues to offer high quality PE and out of hours activities.

Phase 2

During the summer 2009 the East wing will be complete and the majority of the teachers will move classrooms. Students will access this new block from September 2009 onwards. Some teaching will still take place in the old building whilst the new West building including our sports hall and dining facilities is completed

Final Phase

By October 2010 the new school will be complete and we will spend the next 6 months completing the 2 multi use games areas and staff parking facilities.
