McLaren Construction have completed the refurbishment and re-development of an existing retail park at Wembley on behalf of The Junction Ltd Partnership. This scheme, which is part of the master plan to regenerate the whole of the area, has been led by the construction of the new National Stadium.

The project involved the alteration and sub-division, extension and re-imaging of the existing retail park. These works required extensive temporary works to retain and raise the eaves height of the existing structures in order to adapt them for their new usages. Tenants include MFI, Allied Carpets, Halfords, Carpetright and Wickes Extra.

Additionally the works also included the construction of a 2 storey office block as an independent feature. Public areas were facilitated by 2 restaurants and a Centre Management Office as well as cafes and amenity facilities.

All the works were carried out to a live, trading retail park with heavy public interface. Logistical planning figured highly, with particular regard for the safety of the public, whilst still maintaining access for retail and construction deliveries.
