McLaren Project Team enters Reading half marathon
McLaren Construction's project team based at The Wellington Retail Park in Slough has entered the Reading half marathon to raise funds for the charity CRASH.
CRASH is the construction and property industry charity for the homeless, which aims to help homelessness charities improve their premises, facilities and accomodation provided for homeless people.
The marathon which was due to take place on 30th September 2007 has been re-scheduled (due to foot and mouth) to take place on Sunday 2nd March 2008 and will be undertaken by Rob Nicholls, Mike Fuller, Andy Jarvis and James Shepherd.
Rob Nicholls, Assistant Site Manager said: We are all determined to leave this project a lot fitter than when we first started with the opportunity to raise money for an extremely worthwhile cause, so we are all on a tough training schedule and a healthy diet with not a fry up or a bacon sandwich anywhere on site, we know it won't be easy but we are determined to complete the run.
Rob and the team would be grateful for any offers of sponsorship. Contact Rob Nicholls on 01753 823 942 or log onto www.justgiving.com/mclarenrun
