Chelsea Flower Show

McLaren Co-Sponsor The Gazeley and Chetwoods Designed Sustainable Perfume Garden which Won Gold Award & Most Creative Award at the Recent Chelsea Flower Show

The award winning garden, which combined modern day cutting-edge sustainability with Elizabethan scents, was presented with the Most Creative Award.  A prestigious award which is discretionary and is presented only when the judges feel that the design of a garden has set new standards of imagination and innovation.

An original recipe for rosewater infused perfume created by Queen Elizabeth I in the 16th Century has been the inspiration for the garden, along with modern day sustainability techniques bringing together old and new.

The garden included the following unique elements:

. Architecture that thrills all of the senses and creates an aura of wellbeing, while being environmentally sound

. A pocket perfumery, from growing plants to distillation, production, bottling and selling

. A spiral in the central apothecary where the perfume is produced
